Katya Warped opens the 2017 season with her latest visual narrative titled ‘Gabunia’. Created exclusively for Couture Troopers, this striking editorial revisits the classic premise of ‘The Model as Muse’, focusing on the singular style and femininity of model Alla Gabunia.
Dressed in a palette of shimmering metallics and gold, with meticulous styling and makeup by Anna Istomina, the spread evokes a festive atmosphere and a celebratory spirit. The collection of images successfully channels concepts of elusiveness, weightlessness, and ephemerality, all of which reflect the charming personality of Alla herself.
As a highly sought after talent on the international circuit, Alla Gabunia is frequently travelling between global fashion capitals. It was a genuine pleasure for the photographer and her creative team to secure the opportunity to collaborate with Alla on this evocative project.
